Heart Attack

A heart attack is the death of heart muscle from the sudden blockage of a coronary artery by a blood clot. Coronary arteries are blood vessels that supply the heart muscle with blood and oxygen. Blockage of a coronary artery deprives the heart muscle of blood and oxygen, causing injury to the heart muscle. Injury to the heart muscle causes chest pain.

 

Causes

·          Obesity

·          Being a middle-aged male

·          Diabetes

·          Family history of coronary artery disease

·          High blood pressure

·          Smoking

·          Fat foods

·          High LDL ("bad") cholesterol and low HDL ("good") cholesterol

 

Symptoms

·          Cough

·          Fainting

·          Light-headedness, dizziness

·          Nausea or vomiting

·          Shortness of breath

·          Extreme Sweating

·          Chest pain

·          Jaw pain, toothache, headache

·          Heartburn and/or indigestion

·          Arm pain (more commonly the left arm, but may be either arm)

·          Upper back pain 

 

Diagnosis

·          An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a recording of the electrical activity of the heart. Abnormalities in the electrical activity usually occur with heart attacks and can identify the areas of heart muscle that are deprived of oxygen and/or areas of muscle that have died.

·          Blood tests can measure the levels of cardiac enzymes are creatine phosphokinase (CPK), special sub-fractions of CPK (specifically, the MB fraction of CPK), and troponin.

 

Remedies

      ·          Ginger lowers cholesterol and inhibits blood platelet collection.

·          Take 2 cups of fresh ginger infusion using 2 slices of fresh root per cup of water.

·          Green tea has superb antioxidant properties. Drinking 10 to 20 cups a day can provide protection against heart disease.

·          Capsicum and ginger root strengthen the heart.

·          Sunflower oil reduces cholesterol levels.

·          Take 3 t0 4 teaspoons of indian gooseberry juice is considered effective home remedy.

·          Apples have heart-stimulating properties.

·          Grapes are especially effective in heart pain.  it reduces the chances of heart attack.
